Toyota GR Range: Every GR Model Available in Australia

The Toyota GR range represents everything Toyota has learned from decades of global motorsport competition, distilled into cars you can drive every day. Developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, the performance arm behind Toyota's World Rally Championship, World Endurance Championship, and now the Australian Supercars Championship, the GR badge signals a car that has been engineered with genuine driving enthusiasts in mind.

Since the GR Supra launched in 2019, Toyota Australia has sold over 31,000 GR performance vehicles. That number continues to grow as the range expands beyond dedicated sports cars and into GR Sport variants of Toyota's most popular models.

Here's every GR and GR Sport model currently available in Australia.

The Dedicated GR Performance Cars

GR Yaris

Toyota GR Yaris

Main Section

The GR Yaris is the car that proved Toyota was serious about performance. Developed directly from the World Rally Championship program, this compact all-wheel-drive hot hatch packs a 1.6-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 221 kW and 400 Nm. Available in six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic, it weighs just 1,280 kg in manual form, giving it a power-to-weight ratio that embarrasses cars twice its price.

Australia is one of only a handful of markets globally where the GR Yaris is sold. For 2026, Toyota has introduced the GTS Aero Performance Pack with motorsport-derived upgrades, including revised power steering, improved high-grip tyres, and enhanced differential control.

Pricing starts from approximately $55,490 for the manual and $57,990 for the auto, plus on-road costs.

GR Corolla

GR Corolla

The GR Corolla takes the GR Yaris formula and adds practicality. It shares the same 1.6-litre turbo three-cylinder engine (221 kW / 400 Nm) and all-wheel drive system, but wraps it in a five-door body with rear seats and a usable cargo area. It's a high-performance hot hatch with a practical alter ego.

Available in GTS, the GR Corolla is the car for drivers who need to do the school run during the week and a track day on the weekend without swapping vehicles.

Pricing starts from approximately $67,990 for the manual and $70,490 for the auto, plus on-road costs.

GR86

GR86

The GR86 is the most accessible entry point to the Toyota GR range. A lightweight, rear-wheel-drive coupe with a naturally aspirated 2.4-litre four-cylinder boxer engine producing 174 kW and 250 Nm, the GR86 rewards driving skill over straight-line speed. Its low centre of gravity and precise steering make it one of the most involving driver's cars at any price.

The GR86 is also the car used in the TGRA GR Cup racing series, Australia's premier one-make championship, which has become an important pathway for aspiring professional drivers.

Pricing starts from $43,940 plus on-road costs.

The GR Sport Range

The GR badge also extends beyond dedicated performance cars. Toyota's GR Sport variants bring motorsport-inspired design, upgraded styling, and enhanced features to some of the brand's most popular models. These vehicles carry distinctive GR exterior styling, unique alloy wheels, sport-tuned interiors, and GR badging throughout.

RAV4 GR Sport

The flagship of the GR Sport lineup and the most powerful RAV4 ever built. Available exclusively as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with all-wheel drive, producing a combined 227 kW. Performance upgrades include a 20 mm wider wheel track, high-performance dampers, a rear suspension brace, revised steering calibration, and 20-inch twin-spoke black alloy wheels with red brake callipers. Priced at $66,340 plus on-road costs. Deliveries expected from Q3 2026.

Corolla Cross GR Sport

GR Sport aesthetics applied to the versatile Corolla Cross, with a GR-specific front bumper, 19-inch alloy wheels, upgraded suspension tuning, revised electric power steering, and a dedicated Sport drive mode. Available exclusively in AWD hybrid. Priced from $50,990 plus on-road costs.

Yaris Cross GR Sport

A sportier take on Toyota's popular compact SUV, featuring unique GR Sport front and rear styling, exclusive alloy wheels, sport seats, and a blacked-out interior with GR detailing.

C-HR GR Sport

The sleek C-HR small SUV with added GR Sport design elements, including a unique front fascia, dedicated alloy wheels, sport seats, and GR-branded interior touches.

LandCruiser GR Sport

GR Sport treatment for Toyota's legendary off-roader, combining rugged capability with motorsport-inspired styling, unique wheels, and premium interior enhancements.

From the Track to the Road

The connection between TOYOTA GAZOO Racing's motorsport programs and the GR road cars is not just marketing. Toyota's philosophy is that the racetrack is the best development ground for road cars. The GR Yaris was born from the World Rally Championship. The GR86 races in the GR Cup. And with the GR Supra now competing in the Supercars Championship alongside Ford Mustangs and Chevrolet Camaros, that connection has never been stronger in Australia.

Toyota's commitment to motorsport runs deep. The TGRA Rally Team campaigns two GR Yaris Rally2 cars in the Australian Rally Championship. The GR Cup is now in its ninth season, nurturing the next generation of professional drivers. And the Supercars entry represents a minimum five-year commitment to Australia's premier touring car championship.

Every lesson learned on the track feeds back into the cars that carry the GR badge on the showroom floor.
